Soaring 51 stories on the Charlotte skyline, the art deco office tower that houses one of our most prominent financial institutions required a roof replacement. The logistics of a project of this type are very demanding. Moving material to the roof, safely removing debris, minimizing the impact on those inside the building, and ensuring the safety of our personnel require careful planning and flawless execution.
Radco was engaged to replace roof sections of the building from the street-level plaza to the 51st floor. Included in the project scope were the “corners”. Forty-three stories above the ground, 42 inches wide, and 52 feet long, the “corners” require a professional safety plan similar to few. They also require a professional installation that will stand the test of time. Radco installed a Siplast modified bitumen roof system here, and all sections were replaced. A “modified” roof system is one of the best available and will provide many years of service to this facility.
