First Presbyterian Church

Some buildings are a work of art and First Presbyterian Church in Charlotte, NC is one of them.  Built in 1857, and on the National Registry of Historic Places, the church is a beautiful example of Gothic Revival architecture.  Needless to say, the protection of a building of this nature is a big responsibility.

Radco has provided ongoing maintenance and emergency repairs on the building for many years.  We have also replaced both steep-sloped slate roofs and the TPO roofs in the various classroom and community gathering areas.  Particular attention has always been given to retaining the historic details of the church to ensure that the beautiful façade remains intact.

Because of the location of the church, nestled between many of the high-rise condominiums in Uptown Charlotte, the look of the roofs from above is also important.  Carlisle’s APEEL TPO roof membrane was used on our last roof replacement to protect the roof from the typical construction traffic present during a roof replacement and provides a clean, sleek look from above.
