Charlotte Museum of History

Home of the Hezekiah Alexander house, constructed in 1774, and the recently renovated Siloam School, constructed in 1920, the Museum is clearly committed to honoring the history of the Charlotte area.  Radco has worked with the Museum on roof replacement projects, having replaced several sections of the Museum’s roof.  Upon completion of the roof replacement projects, the Museum asked Radco to provide ongoing roof maintenance for its entire facility.

The building’s design consists of adhered TPO, ballasted EPDM, Spanish tile, and metal.  The configuration is beautiful but challenging to maintain.   The various transitions between roof types and elevations require roof technicians who are well-versed in all roof types and have an eye for detail.  Quarterly maintenance visits ensure that the precious contents of the museum remain safe from water penetration and preserve the roof system for many years to come.
