Given the size of the Maxwood Furniture project, it is not surprising that we encountered more than one substrate and had multiple specifications for various roof areas. Staging the material and equipment for a project of this size is a challenge, and it was made more so by the coordination of the removal of numerous mechanical units of all sizes.
Depending upon the roof condition and configuration, we were required to remove the existing roof system to the deck, recover the existing roof system, or install a new single-ply system over the existing standing seam metal. All were Duro-Last PVC membranes either adhered, mechanically attached, or induction welded to coated plates. We also installed new gutters and downspouts on the entire facility.
Regardless of the challenges in the various stages of the project, in the end, we had a “zero punch list”. And we are proud to say that the project was nominated for Duro-Last’s project of the year!
